Image editing app that's just to cut, crop, resize, add effects. No more fancy stuff. It's not the next photoshop.

Hi, hackers.

I wanted to build an image editing app to simply crop, resize, add filters and do a few more things on images. Why, as a software engineer I sometimes need to embed images to apps websites, games and more. Sometimes I need to spend about 20-30 minutes to just do 1-2 simple tweaks by using photoshop. Because photoshop is for making advanced graphics, not for cropping an image. I don't need tons of libraries to be loaded to my RAM so I could simply cut an image.

So, here's my upcoming software named: Photosimple.

Please let me know what would you use the software or just uninstall after the first launch. I will try to do my best to make UI very simple because simplicity is becoming a modern UI trend. Customers are going to pay an additional $ to get a clean UI, not advanced stuff.

I like it. Please add the option to export all photos in one pdf

I would not use or pay for this. For simple resizing, croping and filters I use Preview on my Mac. For anything more advanced I use https://pixlr.com/editor/

Maybe there is a specific industry or niche that would benefit more and pay for this? You would have more success as a B2B rather than a consumer product.

Thanks, I haven't seen this one. Actually the main reason is not to get paid from this project. I just wanted a useful tool for myself. This one is maybe good.

There are some web-based tools that let you do cropping, resizing, and filters in-browser, without any installations. It would be hard to compete against them with a desktop application, methinks. Also, I'm not convinced that making it a subscription service is a good idea.
