I remember I once saw a service where you could upload images and it would return the image if you made a specific request. You would provide information in the url of what image you wanted. The service would return the image in the specific size or after applying a filter. So you could request an image that looks cartoon-ey, etc.
Does anyone know the website/name of the service I just described?
I have used Cloudinary, Imgix, Piio, and Kraken. Out of those, I personally use Imgix most often. I really like how I can keep all of my originals hosted in my own AWS environment. They just connect to your AWS and cache versions of the image optimized.
Cloudinary is a service that’s quite popular https://cloudinary.com/
Thanks, cloudinary has e_cartoonify, exactly what I was looking for!
We recently launched imglab that it's exactly what you are describing plus a World Wide CDN.
Take a look, maybe it can be helpful for your image needs!
At Okeano, we have experimented with https://imgproxy.net and https://github.com/atmos/camo
What about uploadcare.com? I booked their site - as I saw their photo editor widget used somewhere. I liked how it worked, you could also choose to use a photo from google drive, dropbox etc. Not sure if that would be useful for you.
But they are quite expensive, that's why I haven't used them yet.
I was also say going to say cloudinary....
