Images to pdf creator
Hi everyone,
first post here... I'm in need of some validation.
I've made a simple application a while ago for someone that gets some images as input and places them in a pdf in a 4x5 style per page.
I've added some simple options for compression/resizing of the images so that the pdf doesn't take up too much space (he wanted to add about 200 images to the pdf and they're taken with a DSLR camera).
Now, I've had some other ideas for this app. I've been thinking about adding some kind of preview mode and different options for the size of the pages (currently it's only A4). Also, header and footer manipulation.
Is this something you'd see used somewhere or could this go in some interesting direction?
I'd DEFINITELY be interested in this as a means of finding images in my photo's folders. One of the options I'd see is selecting a folder (or just a range of pictures), selecting the document size (ie letter, legal, A4), the size of each image or grid style (ie 2x6, 3x8, etc.), including file name below the image or not, folder name in the header/footer (or not), date of image (or not). I don't know if anything even exists like this already (haven't honestly looked), but, having an easier way to search for pictures or share a snapshot of a set of pictures in a PDF document would be helpful I'd think. Not sure if you can integrate with existing power point software packages. Stand-alone I image it will be a tough sell.
Do you mean so that it could convert a ppt to pdf?
