Implement billing subscription before launching on Product Hunt?

Should I use product hunt to validate a product or get paying customers?

There is another option. Handle billing manually for your first few customers. Build a relationship with them rather than automated. This will allow you to now have to worry about a subscription management system/setup first, but allow you to still bring in revenue.

Man, I have no idea how I didn't think of this option before 🤦‍♂️
Stripe has very nice support for manual invoices. Thanks for opening my mind!!

This is a very interesting topic. I am the founder of Servicebot, no-code self-serve billing pages for Stripe. And I usually tell early-stage founders to not worry about self-serving subscriptions until they have some traction and manual invoicing becomes a hassle.

Super awesome product! Much better UX than redirecting customers to Stripe's pages... I'd totally use that if one of my products start making money.

That's a really good point. Many times I was looking for some product/tool but wasn't really considering to pay for it, just because I didn't need very badly.

For customers to pay, it needs to solve a problem that hurts, or will reasonably help streamline their process whatever it is.
