Importance of VPN in 2021?

How many of you are still working for corporates that rely heavily on VPNs?

And how many of you need to dial into the corporate network (via a vpn client) and are bound to a (http/socks) proxy that disallows traffic to the other world?

From my experience (only in Germany) that is reality in most companies I've seen so far.

I wonder if products such as cloudflare access and others in the field of zero trust access will make a hit in 2021 and turn even the last of the big conservative corporates away from their secure cisco and co vpn solutions.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Today, most companies work with the help of VPN. I believe that this is absolutely the right thing to do, because by doing this, the company hides the entire database with personal data from enemies who can use it for bad purposes. For example, a couple of months ago, a company from my city used a VPN that did not hide privacy well. Because of this, a huge amount of personal information was stolen from the company's computers. Such an act greatly affected the value of the company's shares, as investors and shareholders refused to invest in a company that neglects informative security. For example, our company uses a Pin point VPN and does not experience any privacy issues.

    I do,
I still need a VPN to connect to my daily job. Sometimes it's a pain in the a** when there are too many connections at the same time.
