Impressions or likes. Which is important for beginners?

I have been working to create an audience on twitter for me and for my company. Right now with about 400 followers, I am trying to increase engagement and followers. Most of my tweets get 1-2 likes.

But Impressions, however, are in 300 - 1000 range

I'm not sure if this ratio of impressions to likes is a good sign.

what do you think?

Which metric should new twitters users should focus on?

What are you doing to grow your company’s account? Any strategy?

I’d say giving value, building relationships by replying to others will guve you both likes and impressions.

I don’t really know if there is a good ratio or some science behind the stats.

But I feel like genuine conversation and being helpful will naturally drive high engagement.

Yea.. I am trying to start conversations and replying on other's threads.

Its not either or. You need an holistic approach and to know when to push certain tactics.

For instance, replies on large accounts might get 10x impressions.
A post you make at the right time gets 10 likes more than any other. You post 10x tweets like that and they get 10x less.

Some tweets are for your audience.
    Some for you.
    Some for retweets
    Some for likes.

In fact, if you try everything all the time, you will fail, all the time.

      very true.
I have been trying to tweet things about the startup, sales and marketing. Engagement's good but people are not liking my content.

What do you suggest I do?

      1. 2

I would suggest reading a lot of twitter accounts you want to be like. Just seeing 100 different accounts and noticing what they do for engagement and what they do for growth is important.
