I launched my project SiteFolios a few days ago. It’s a website that lets you create a portfolio in under a minute.
The process is simple: you fill in some basic information, see a preview, and if you’re happy, you click the “Publish” button. Your portfolio is then ready and live.
However, I noticed that many visitors don’t complete the process. After analyzing the issue, I realized it’s likely due to the user experience. At the beginning of my form, there are 5 questions, but I hadn’t indicated how many there were. Without a clear indicator, users don’t know how long the process will take and often leave before seeing their portfolio.
To solve this, I added a progress bar and showed the number of remaining questions. It’s a simple change, but it should improve the user experience and increase conversion rates.
For those who don’t know, I created this project to make portfolio creation easier. Portfolios are always useful when applying for jobs or preparing for interviews, but they’re often tedious to create. That’s why SiteFolios.net exists: to make building a portfolio quick, simple, and accessible for everyone.
