Improving your Twitter presence doesn't have to be hard
As an indie hacker, I love sharing my journey on Twitter. It's great to be able to share what I'm working on with the community. Building in public is a great way to increase engagement and grow an audience. People love seeing ideas being brought to life and some are even nice enough to give feedback along the way. All-in-all, Twitter is buzzing with opportunities and can be leveraged in many ways to yield success.
Being a founder is a hard job as it is. You wear many hats and Twitter is just another thing you have to commit to. To build an audience, you have to sustain a good presence which means tweeting consistently and sharing useful things. If you are building something, you probably have a bunch of interesting ideas to share but once you're faced with "What's on your mind?", your mind goes blank. Every. Single. Time. Tweeting multiple times a day also distracts you from building product which is probably what you want to be focussing on.
Fortunately, there is a solution for this and it will only take 10 minutes of your time:
- Think of 3 interesting ideas you want to tweet about (in one sitting) based on something you've done recently
- Convert these ideas into tweets that will provide value to people
- Schedule them to be posted on the following day at 3 different times
- Repeat tomorrow
That's all you need to do to improve your presence on Twitter. The best thing about this strategy is that you don't have to be on Twitter all the time. It's distraction-free, reduces context-switching and helps you create good quality content fast. Doing this consistently will inevitably help you grow your audience, so it makes sense to streamline the process and save time.
