In a world of spam, bots, and scams — I’m building a “Message Paywall” to bring back what’s real.

Everywhere online, the question is the same: what’s real?

  • News headlines twisted for clicks.

  • AI-generated images and emails.

  • Bots in our feeds and trolls in our DMs.

  • Even our inboxes, once reliable, now overflowing with noise.

One morning my Gmail inbox said: 14,372 unread messages.

That was the breaking point.

I realized the problem isn’t just too much email — it’s that our inboxes no longer show us what’s real.

So I built ACEGI.io — a Message Paywall:

  • Trusted people get through.

  • Strangers are blocked — unless they value your time enough to pay.

  • Spam, cold pitches, and scams? Never reach you.

If a message makes it into ACEGI, it’s because you wanted it there.

I wrote more about the concept here:

Still early, still figuring out adoption and distribution. But I think the bigger story is this: in a digital world full of fakes, authenticity is the new currency.

Would love your take:

  • Would you use a Message Paywall for your inbox?

  • Or do you think the idea of “paid access” is too extreme?

  1. 1

One of my biggest challenges right now is explaining ACEGI in a single line. ‘Message Paywall’ clicks for some people, but others don’t get it. How would you describe this idea in plain English?
