In social proof quotes is it ok to replace "it" with your product name?

I have a lot of positive feedback on my IH app Moon and I'm using it as social proof on my landing page.
My question is:
If some one says something like

I love it!

or

The app is great!

is it socially acceptable for me to display them on my landing page as:

I love Moon!

Moon is great!

I think it depends on the context the person gave the feedback. Was is formal feedback or not? If so then make sure it sounds natural. Don't let your testimonial section sound forced, otherwise you don't just invalidate your testimonials, you turn them into a detractor.

Hey Marc! So in the case of your feedback

"Love the app so far! Branding is on point with IH. Can’t wait to see what comes next."

You’re fine with me putting this?

“Love Moon so far! Branding is on point with IH. Can’t wait to see what comes next."

If you put quotes around it, write exactly what they wrote or follow jarrad's advice to make it clear you replaced pronouns.

I've generally seen this done in media by changing "I love it!" to "I love [Moon]!" It means that the speaker was referring to Moon, even though they didn't explicitly name it.

Going to your landing page and looking at the first comment by Emil Moeller, I think it would be appropriate to use:

"[Moon]’s fast and smooth! I love using your app. Was just using it now for the last 20 minutes, and it’s so fast, and gives a great twitter stream like feeling. I’m grateful for the time and effort you’ve put into it. It’s a very enjoyable way to read Indie Hackers."

The link to your app in your post is broken by the way.

Hey Jarrad thanks for the input! I've seen [this syntax] used in more journalistic media too, but kinda feel like its distracting / too formal for a mobile app landing page. Maybe I should just ask the actual people who left the feedback lol

Personally, I think it's fine to put the brackets in, but I understand where the apprehension comes from.

I think it's one of those things where you just need to make a decision and stick by it until you receive feedback. That way you can focus on other aspects of the landing page.

That was my thought as well.. there seems to be mixed opinions on it which I didn't expect. 🤷‍♂️
