Inception of Growthrail

We've been building mobile and web apps for years, and every time we wanted to add referrals, we hit the same wall. The existing tools were expensive, had no useful free tier, and took more effort to integrate than they should have. Yet referrals are a great way to grow your app organically, and a great indicator of customer loyalty.

So we built GrowthRail. GrowthRail is referral and attribution infrastructure for mobile and web apps.

Here's what you get at launch:

• Native SDKs for Swift and Kotlin, plus JavaScript, React, React Native, and Expo

• Drop-in referral UI for share links and promo codes

• Integrations with Clerk, Stripe, RevenueCat, Lemon Squeezy, PayPal, and more

• Attribution across web, iOS, and Android It's free to get started.

For launch week, our Early Adopter plan gives you 4× the free tier's usage, free forever once claimed. When we introduce paid plans for higher usage, your Early Adopter benefits will be continued. growthrail.dev I'm curious: what's stopped you from adding referrals to your app? Is it pricing, integration effort, or getting attribution right?

Happy to answer any questions and would love to hear your feedback.

Referrals are a super valuable lever for organic growth. If you're interested, I'd like to do a video review with honest feedback. I do these for free, as a way to connect with more founders. I send a 2 minute preview. To unlock the full video, you only need to give feedback to another product on BetaBloom. I think it's a pretty good deal. Sound good?

You mentioned hitting the same wall every time you wanted to add referrals.

Since launching GrowthRail, are you finding that other teams are describing that wall in the same way you experienced it, or has customer feedback been different from what originally led you to build it?

Yes, we have received very promising feedback from our initial customers. We’re working towards adding more integrations to make the set up even smoother.

That’s interesting. When you say the feedback has been promising, I’m curious what part customers are reacting to most — the time saved setting up referrals, or something else they weren’t expecting?
