Hey IH! Boy am I excited. I recently did a post about BuildFaster's sales dropping and I got lots of great feedback from users such as @csallen, @reader, @sidvis82, @jackellis24, @nathanrodgers, @joshternyak, @cannonball2134, @andrewkamphey, @findingnino and the list goes on...

Anywho, just this morning I got my 4th sale 🥳
It was the theme called Lightning Blue News - A modern HTML theme to show off your newsletter and gain subscribers. It sold for $25 💵
So that brings my monthly total to $80. I am $20 away from achieving $100 in a month. Think I can do it? Have any advice for the future? 🤔
Hi Brayden! Why do you count one-time sales as MRR? It’s a bit confusing, are you selling a subscription or a product? Just curious.

It is a one time sale that I am counting as MRR. I did research and sources said that you have to average out your monthly earnings to find your MRR. But no, it is not a subscription I am selling.
Question: what’s your favorite theme? Would you purchase it for a future side project/idea?

MRR stands for Monthly Recurring Revenue. If these are a one time sale, it wouldn’t be considered MRR. MRR is more like a SaaS where you charge a monthly price. Think Netflix, your ISP, etc. This would be a one time sale in addition to any MRR if you had a subscription service but wouldn’t be calculated as part of your MRR, hence Nicolas’ confusion comment.

The new landing page is much better! The animation as soon as you land is awesome. Did you make the video yourself? That's a really nice touch.
I would think about expanding your current Themes before you rush into adding a bunch more. I really like the Top Tech theme but it's just the one page! I'd much sooner pay $100+ for a full site (12+ pages, support, pricing, knowledge base, documentation pages, etc.) than $5 for just a landing page!

I would say my favorites are Lighting Blue, It Went Dark, and maybe the hero.
However, finding use cases that result in me purchasing these themes feels cumbersome. I currently use Carrd.co for my landing pages.. and any marketing site beyond a simple landing page I use webflow.com to create. It would be neat if you were able to add your themes/templates to the web flow theme marketplace. This would give you more exposure as well but might involve more work for each theme.

It's kind of a one stop shop for landing pages. I can create them quickly using its editor, setup analytics, email intake, and then with the press of a button attach it to my custom domain and it's magically hosted in the cloud.
So, to me, it isn't really about their templates, it's about their ease of use and speed to a working product.
Also at $4 dollars a month.. I can justify the cost to allow me to have put to 25 sites running at once.

Lightning Blue seems to be suitable for a potential new project. The blog page looks like it's missing some styles on my firefox browser though.

One thing I would do if I were you is position yourself against theme companies like Thrive Themes, Elementor, and those guys vs the themeforrest themes.
They charge a premium vs theme Forrest themes you buy once for $20 or whatever.

I don't know about the old design but really like the new one 🙂. It is very clear what you are providing and I love the parallax effect (if that is what it is called) + the trends.
