Inclusive or exclusive sales tax pricing

Just setting up subscription plans on AskDigsby and interested to know how others handle this. In UK, we expect prices inclusive of VAT (unless it's a trade business), but I get the feeling in the US pricing is exclusive because of varying state taxes. What about where you are? What did / would you do? Thanks!
