Incremental graphic design
Hi. I am just starting an educational online site. Free content, no registration, just text in the meantime. I am extremely bad a graphic design so I wont be able to create a nice logo/banner for the site,twitter account etc. But as many IH I am frugal and my budget is very limited. Ideally I would love to work with a graphic designer create a nice infographic for each lesson and so on, but this is something I prefer to leave for later once the site gains traction. My question specifically how would you manager to spend on design incrementally. Any experience on that front? Did you just hire a freelancer for the logo and started from there?

Canva is a great solution for non graphic designers looking to design nice graphics. I use it all the time for making ads. There are templates you can use too, so you don't really need to think much about the design.
Yes, it is. The only tool I've been really productive on, in the sense of being able to create semi-decent results with not much investment (or design sense). The thing I didnt like is that it was not free(LOL) and that some templates were too restrictive.Other were great though
You could start by using free vector art assets and combining them together using something like Adobe XD or even a PowerPoint/Slides
The noun project is also a good resource for vector graphics and icons

I designed it all myself :). I just googled "how to use figma" on youtube and learned!
I dont think I am talented enough to do that. Of course if I invest the time I could improve but the talent is just not there so I would prefer to spend the time on stuff I am good at. I will check out figma though, so thanks for that.
