Indian Indie Hackers - how do you accept payments in USD?

I am an Indian indie hacker. I am just getting started with micro-saas primarily targeting the US market. I am wondering if I can accept payments in USD as an individual or if I need to register as a company.

(I tried Stripe, but to accept payments in USD, they expect me to be registered)

Do other fellow Indian indie hackers have any recommendations and if I need to register, can you recommend how should I go about doing it so that it is easy on cost and compliance?

For Stripe, it is sufficient to be registered as a sole proprietorship firm. In India, registering a sole proprietorship typically involves getting (1) Shop and Establishment registration, and (2) GST registration. Once you have these registrations done, open a current account with a bank, and you are good to go.

In the initial stages when you're just getting started, a sole proprietorship should be fine, though you might want to think of incorporating a private limited company at some point later after you get traction and grow bigger.
