Indie Freelancers - what are you working on?

In my freelance journey, I’ve been focusing on helping businesses optimize their content strategy, particularly around blogging and SEO. I’ve spent a lot of time digging into low-code solutions to streamline content creation and scheduling for clients who often struggle with time-consuming processes.

One of my recent projects involved supporting a small business with their content pipeline. They had a backlog of articles they wanted to publish but were overwhelmed by the manual processes. I implemented an automation system for content creation and scheduling, which helped them reduce their production time by about 60%. This allowed them to not only catch up but also focus on strategic campaigns that actually drove engagement.

Working on a Notion project with Nik Sharma :) Building the entire workspace for his company. The response to this tweet landed the gig, so I'm pretty happy people think of me (amongst others) when it comes to Notion expertise.

I'm building a dashboard for a client in Google Data Studio that displays the entire wind turbine market in the United States.

Every month I take one Presentation design project. Anything from pitch deck, google slides, investment deck etc

I'm super caught up with writing and content strategies + I am launching a content writing guide these days and everything aligned so that I'll also have a growth hacking guide coming up next week.

Just put in my notice to go full time as a freelance technical writer. Right now I've got 5-6 clients, but I'm working on trading up for better ones every month.

I'm helping a couple people with community building projects, which is right up your alley, Rosie! Specifically the Smart Passive Income team.

I'm on Product Management projects. Right now I'm coaching a technical founder on product thinking. The next project I'll join will be a Product Leadership position. And I'm working on a summer school curriculum for a 2 weeks product strategy and roadmapping class for a university. Pretty exciting times. As I've just started out freelancing - 1 week before the pandemic got announced 🙈 - I'm very thankful for these projects. They're all pretty exciting, and I'm super confused about my blessed situation 🙏🏼😅 Hope it will continue this way 🤞🏼

Right now my three main areas of focus:

• copywriting
• prototyping apps
• and funny enough I’ve gotten back into mixing songs for friends in bands

I'm working on trying to find some new clients. Things I had lined up for this year all got canceled when companies cut budgets.

When I'm not working on that I'm working on my own software boilerplate so I will be able to build indie apps much faster.

Oh, also released my first real open source project!

Working a bit too much at the moment.
I'm using this time to work on a few projects I have been thinking about for a while. Currently, I'm developing a household to-do list that is meant for families so they can set a job that needs doing and then the person that does the job gets a score for doing it and a position further up a household leaderboard.
