Indie Hacker, creator, bootstrapper or maker?

They certainly overlap.

In my mind:

• makers: usually about making things, often for fun, not necessarily about making money
• creators: usually about creating, making stuff, digital, e-commerce, subscriptions, one off payments, often relying on other platforms for bringing in the money or audience.
• indie hackers: often seeking independence, tend to be more technically aware though not necessarily devs, like to try to make their own thing, rather than relying on other networks/systems/tools. The dream is some kind of SaaS or recurring revenue, preference to build their own (one day), but often use a mix of tools to get the job done.

I think indie hacker is a subset of maker/creator that focuses on making profitable businesses

They're all the same until the appeal worn out and a marketer decides it's time to come up with a new name and start a new cycle, and make a new forum...see you there in 5 years.
