I was watching the feed.. and there were like 10 posts, 1 upvote in 10 minutes. :-/
This way no quality post goes up. and just the post that were somehow upvoted stay at the top
The best posts get voted up and are also partially curated and supported by smart code and some manual curation. Which is why the homepage is active and shows the current and most popular posts.
