Indie Hackers Infographic: what data says about indie hackers products

IH-infographic.png

IndieHackers is an amazing website for everyone that is building or is interested in building startups and side hustles. It’s full of interesting people doing innovative things and the community is one of the best out there.

As a token of my appreciation to the community, I wanted to shoutout all of the incredible founders on IH building products and companies that have reached over 1K MRR (verified by Stripe).

I analyzed the products that are being built here on IH, using MRR as a value metric. The infographic contains insights about the importance of multiple founders, the ability of the founders to code themselves, and the niche they’re building in.

Interesting anecdote, the founding team for LlamaFi was created on IndieHackers, where John (@johnatproxii on IH) and I met and started working together on a tool to help other SaaS companies reduce their churn and increase their LTV on auto-pilot.

I hope you enjoy it! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below or follow my journey on Twitter @real_filippo.

    Super interesting, thanks!

Nice insights! Would love to know if length of time a product has existed plays a factor in MRR also.

I have another infographic up my sleeve. Let's see if I can include that data.

I would think so! Yeah would be interesting to see a chart on "how long it took to get to 1K MRR on average, 5K on average, 10K on average"

    Thanks for making this!

Just a nit: The use of a line chart for the "count" variable is confusing. It would work better as a two-variable bar chart.

Yeah not the best way to show it, but space was very restricted, will see how to do it better with the next one

Awesome infographic! My takeaway from the niche's - Indiehackers are unfashionable and not in to fitness...surprise? 😝
