Indie Hackers Summit, anyone?
This week, the Web Summit 2020 is taking place.
This made me think... why isn't there something similar for the IH community where various people from within and without the community would give interesting talks directed at IH.
Can totally imagine this happening, and would be much more appealing to the community compared to the web summit.
I've thought about this a lot, even an IRL version (pre-covid).
What would you actually watch or participate in?
Pretty much anything like:
I think a MicroConf for indie hackers would be cool. I can't imagine how the content or structure would be different though lol. 🤷♂️
Also, separately: Product Hunt's Golden Kitty Awards but for IH would be sweet. "Indie Hacker of the Year", "Bootstrapped Product of the Year", etc. I've thought a few times about running an unofficial version of this idea. 🙂

It feels like marketing hype that doesn't actually have long term value. It's also full of unfairness all along the way. 🤷🏻♀️
Ah I see. I do think it can be fun for the participants regardless of the website’s actual motivation (marketing) but both of those are valid points. All good!
