Indie Hackers VR Facebook group (cowork/make friends)

Hey everyone,

For the past week or two I've been meeting up for an hour a day in Meta Horizon Workrooms with my friend in VR to help each other stay motivated to work on our separate business ideas.

Each session we take turns focusing on each other's project, so for example if my friend goes first then we'll spend 30 minutes focusing on his project, so he'll project his screen and talk through what he's doing while I hide my own screen and give ideas for what he should do next or how he should solve the problem he's currently trying to solve. And then after 30 minutes we switch to focusing on my project.

I've been finding it to be a great way to stay motivated on my project, because even if I don't feel like working on my own project on a particular day I do enjoy talking to my friend and helping him with his idea, and then it's not so difficult for me to do just 30 minutes while he is there with me. And that 30 minute session is often enough to make me feel motivated to work on the project on my own.

Usually after we do our 1-hour session we play OnwardVR together for an hour or two, which I think also helps to sweeten the appeal of VR (for us at least).

Anyway, I feel like this should be more of a thing in the indie hacking community and so I made a Facebook group to hopefully be a place where interested indie hackers can coordinate meeting up like this. If other people want to join our sessions they're welcome to but we'd have to figure out how to make it work with a larger group, because I think it's only possible to share one screen in workrooms at a time. So we might be better off doing something else, like having pairs meet up in separate workrooms to help each other in the way I described above and then having everyone meet up in a single workroom to cowork together. I don't know, those are just ideas.

I'm the admin of the Indie Hackers Chiang Mai Facebook group, which is how I got the idea to do another Facebook group for VR.
