What will everyone be working on this weekend?
I'll start:
I'm a writer myself and struggle with a core problem no writing app out there has managed to solve. So I've been working on this writing tool that will hopefully help any creator out there. But since my code knowledge is limited, I guess I'll have to dedicate some time looking for my technical half, i.e., a cofounder.
What's your project?
Taking the weekend off to choose my wedding suit. I’m getting married to another Indie Hacker in September!
Congrats!!
That’s exciting!
Whoa, congrats!
Congratulations in advance
Trying to talk about woice.me as much as possible. Just launched on Google Play store and really excited about that 🎉
This looks amazing. How long have you been working on it?
From last feb/march :D Thank you!
This is a great project! Will definitely try it out
Thanks for the support! let me know what you think about it!
Congrats on the launch 👏🥂 how are early users doing?
Thank you 🙌 I think they're doing pretty good. Need to schedule 1:1 calls with everyone a.s.a.p. and see where we can improve the product
I'm currently working on frontend design and images of my Uptime monitoring website.
https://uptimetracker.io
Curious to know why did you decide to build your uptime service? I had built an uptime monitoring system couple of years back. What I noticed It's pretty tough to catch up in a crowded space.
The main reason I built it because most of time I work as solo and this is my side project in early stage.
Also an uptime tools have limited set of features like API, Cronjob and Downtime monitoring. So it not consume so much of my time and I can just work weekend to version update or fix issues.
And in future if it's start getting more users then I will start giving it more time.
Cool.
An Airtable list of 600 tools with GREAT Freemium plan for Makers
https://makerbox.typedream.app/preview
How's building on typedream?
Pros — Intuitive, fast, nice gradient
Cons — Early beta, not every site elements are here
I would recommend it for a simple Landing pages with 2-3 blocks
This is our Waitlist page — https://www.makerbox.club/preview
What is the business model? It seems like you are targeting "cheap" makers. I am very frugal. I'm not sure I would pay for access to the list.
We'll probably go with a one-time payment of $19. How does it sound to you?
Personally, I don't think I would purchase it. My anchor is that this is something to save time finding good free plans. I would think of SaaS X that costs $19 that I already am not paying for, but that I want. I would ask myself why I would spend $19 here when I'm not paying for X. Lastly, I know I can do the research when I have a specific need. If I got it for free and got value from it, I would probably do a $6 "buy me a coffee" tip.
Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it
Niice, super useful. When are you launching on Product Hunt?
Hopefully Early June!
I am building a personal budget manager application, that encourages proactive planning and doesn't burden you with complex or unnecessary features. It's called Prefund.
https://prefund.app
Some powerful features in there, love the name of the app by the way.
Man, how long was I searching for such an app. Works really smoothly- adding to homescreen makes it feel like a native experience. I didn’t know how well this function integrates on iOS. What’s your stack for the Frontend if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks a lot, I’m sold 😊
I am glad you like it :) Adding it to the Home Screen works the same on iOS, I myself using it on that.
I am using Angular with Material Icons, and Firebase for the backend.
Just launched sprints.design to help launch websites/brands in 4 weeks. Currently working on getting everything ready for my Product Hunt launch
good luck!
thanks :)
I'm working on adding bookmarks to Indie Hackers!
Isn't that your regular job now? 😀 Why are you working on weekends for it
(pun intended)
https://www.shopme.bio ! Platform to help creators make more money from affiliate links!
I love this. Seems like a logical next step for creators
I'm in the process of upgrading my payment forms for T.LY to use the new Stripe Elements. They are running a beta and if you participate, they will waive 50k of processing fees. It also motivated me to add support for additional payment methods which should improve conversions.
Custom events tracking for Squeaky!
I am going to make a very beautiful and customizable tailwindcss template for NextJS. Something that will definitely help a lot of founders speed up their launch process. Most likely would give it away for free, depending on how much of my time it takes.
Nice, what sort of template?
Landing Page Templates, but am trying to design something that looks way over-the-top for an initial launch. Also, the templates will be highly customisable and will be pre-configured for SEO optimization out-of-the-box. Will also include light+dark themes.
Why? Because I've realised that a lot of the templates don't look that great, neither do they have added features like SEO.
Any suggestions for me?
I'll be writing on how to choose a name for your startup on Eredom. Here is the first part: https://eredom.com/posts/how-to-choose-the-best-startup-name
Also, updating my soon-to-become-alive marketing tool for startup founders! :)
Is there anyone here who is not going to work for a weekend? I mean, is that even possible?
I just acquired a marketing newsletter (https://marketercrew.com/). Getting the first issue drafted!
There are hundreds of newsletters out there... But after scaling a startup to $10M+ ARR I want to share what I've learned.
BTW -- I have a spot on each newsletter issue that features a few interesting ideas and products. Hit me up if you'd like me to include you! Always willing to help fellow entrepreneurs and builders!
A minimalist productivity launcher that can help you decrease your screen time and phone usage.
Love the "flow launcher" angle. Are you targeting students in particular?
Hi AliMese, yeah students can make the best use of this app but in general it's for everyone who thinks they are wasting so much time on social media, keeps juggling between apps and are suffering from time management. Minimalist design of the app helps in less distraction as compared cluttered homescreen of tradition OS.It also has pomodoro timer built in which can surely help students to focus for a long time.
Also wrote a detailed post on how the app does the magic:
https://www.indiehackers.com/post/how-this-app-actually-helped-me-minimise-my-screen-time-and-social-media-usage-eba5706c25
Implementing design changes to the https://communitylib.app/. I almost have the base flow working. So exited! 😃
Every weekend is building weekend.
I'm building statsph.com. I cleaned up some UI. The next target is to improve pagespeed performance and improve accessibility.
Hey Ali! I'm working on Reflio.com. Almost ready to launch the MVP now. Reflio allows you to easily create a referral program for your SaaS without compromising on privacy. We handle all of the cookie collection process for users based in the EU.
Awesome! I used a referral program as the sole channel to help scale my previous startup to the first $1M in ARR. Big believer in the power of referral networks! Good luck!
I am working with one of the biggest product launch coming up next month. 50K prizes up for grabs - including 2 Ford Mustangs and 1 Kawasaki Motorbike. This new product will be make powerpoint and google slides seems like children's play. If you are interested to take a look or even be an affiliate for it, go here -> https://elmlink.co/prezentar2
Or if you just want to be in the loop for the launch, then go here -> https://elmlink.co/prezentar
This shows nothing about the product, it is the weirdest thing I've seen on IH.
I'm building my file explorer app. https://github.com/CanPacis/kasif-frontend
This week-end I'm reviewing the MVP for my next project. Everything is almost ready : business plans, marketing strategies, dev teams..etc
We are launching next month
good luck with the launch!
Brought our product https://supertasks.io/ out from stealth!
Building social presence starting this weekend! 💪
oh wow, so good, just bookmarked it
It looks cool! I tapped the link. I’m not sure if you’re aware but the mobile experience is kind of awkward. I can’t get out of the “Add tasks” modal, neither by tapping out of it nor tapping submit. Looks like an awesome idea though! Cheers!
Aha! Thanks Jevon! This issue would have been really bad for first impression on mobile! Working on it!
Just launched our startup - Outread.
Outread is making it easier to stay up to speed with the world of research. We provide digestible summaries of top research articles, bringing you closer to understanding the world around you. You can check us out here - out-read.com
Got some early paying customers. So 🤞 fingers crossed that it does scale.
Oh, there is such a huge market for this. Plus, no one out there has ever managed to summarise them in simple and easy-to-understand English so I think if you can crack the code here, you'll be unstoppable. Good luck!
I am currently building these two
Bird search - Your advanced search app for Twitter
https://birdsearch.softr.app/
Zen Mode - Hide Everything. Mute Everything.
https://zenmode.carrd.co/
Cool. What's your impression about softr so far? Are you satisfied?
not bad it gets the job done but I am not a huge fan of their templates from design aesthetic point of view but still better that a lot of others.
both look good. For birdsearch, maybe having some screenshots on the landing page to show how the product actually works might be helpful? My eyes were looking for those before having to hit the download button.
Good point, I will make some changes to the landing page. Thank you for the feedback.
Strangely I was thinking of making an app for how I tend to write.
I've kind of been thinking about how I approach software and I think the only thing I might be happy putting so much extra time into is something I've always wanted to find in an app.
I've thought about his a lot, and I tend to approach writing as a series of drafts, even drafts down to phrases in individual sentences. My idea is to create a kind of visual editable graph (in the computer science-y way)... the hard part: keeping the editor and the graph from interrupting flow.
This is interesting. How do you imagine the visual editable graph?
The best I can describe it is a bit like pins saying use this slug of text, which could be a whole paragraph or just a sentence. A bit like how editors put arrows to inject a phrase with a red-pen to either edit a sentence, correct grammar, or add some clarity. It marks a kind of "insert here" this other text which might appear like a line linking to a note card.
Granted there would also be a view of the tree flattened into a linear manuscript. Hard to visualize from a description I know. How users interact with this view is an open design concern of mine, since a writer would need to know what they were editing: the pin or the main text. I have some ideas on this.
My self esteem
I am trying to be more systematic about blog posts, so I'll be working on creating a post to support our first "pillar" article. I am working on making better use of keywords and targeting. Hopefully it pays off in a few months :)
This is our first pillar article: User Feedback: Why Is It Important And How To Collect It
Good luck. Pillar pages are tough. We keep realizing (with most of our clients' pillar pages) that backlinks matter more day by day.
Focus, I need to focus. My startup is 90% through beta but I need to build the back end customer response system.
I keep avoiding the dirty work.
Let Tapflow.app do the dirty work for you!
Eat that frog!
Would you be able to ship by end of the weekend?
I plan to build a knowledge web for my site (Teckstack)[https://teckstack.net/] to better organize the content and support edit capabilities through the UI. Then I can open things up for others to contribute, if they are interested.
I'll continue building my tool to reduce churn and improve LTV for SaaS companies.
Time to do some content marketing!
Got a link/landing page?
Yep: llamafinancial.com
We actually have connected on Twitter too I think! How small is the world hahahah
I'm working on a tool that helps folks create automations their audience will love.
One problem I see with the way most people do marketing is that their automations frustrate their audience. But automated marketing shouldn't come at such a cost.
I'm doing cold reachouts and already got two users in who have been so kind to give me a lot of feedback. Hopefully will be rolling out the public site very soon.
Happy building!
Nice!
Is this for creators?
It might be worth creating a few blog posts and sharing them around.
I found inbound is worth 100x outbound.
starting my local lead generation website to get started in the lead gen game
and i'm thinking about starting a productized service ( around SEO )
I just launched free chrome extension tab studio on chrome web store.
Tab studio is all in one advanced visual tab manager.
Try to inform people as much as possible
I am now in the process of working on my startup. I decided to do everything seriously, as in a textbook so this weekend I was working on a roadmap https://sloboda-studio.com/blog/product-roadmap But I realized that there is a lack of knowledge in the field of marketing and I can hardly cope with this topic on my own, so I began to think about finding a partner )
Working on the client UI of dashibase.com! We are creating beautiful UIs so that our users don't need to spend time on their app frontend. So lots of time designing in Figma and testing various apps.
Working on React Bricks, to release new features.
React Bricks is a CMS with Visual editing based on React components, so it is an easy no-code tools for content editors, but where developers can create a pixel-perfect design using React components.
I'm going to launch a new standalone product (under databloo.com), Ananlytics4now that uses GA4 data with the standard interface of Google Analytics. With this product, you can move to Google Analytics 4 with zero stress and take advantage of the seamless layout of Universal Analytics. Feel free to play around with it and let me know your thoughts: https://datastudio.google.com/u/0/reporting/9253d733-aeb9-4866-bb7a-fd68ad379d3e/page/eiIvB
I spent the weekend putting a proof of concept together for a video call productivity app: Enhancemeet
https://enhancemeet.com/
It was quite fun to get out of the norm weekend and try something new!
I'm building a side project for an affiliate program database with basic crud functionality and bookmarking features.
Trying to consolidate finding great programs by niche.
So lately my friend Emme (https://twitter.com/EmmeMaker) and I joined forces and we are trying to make the ultimate tool for engagement on social media, called https://engagementbuilder.com
It's not like FeedHive or TweetHunter, we are completely focused on engagement. We even don't have a schedule function. 😅
AMA 👇
Hey Ali, I'm Cade!
This weekend, and the next few foreseeable weekends, will be spent developing tutorial content around no-and-low-code tools and building an agency alongside this content.
Somewhat coincides with that you're working on, funnily enough. You should absolutely look into potential no or low code solutions to validate the concept and move fast.
Some tools that might be able to do what you want are Glide Apps, Adalo, Bubble.io, Retool, Webflow, and so many others.
Here's probably my favorite resource for checking out the various solutions. This is not my site btw, I'm currently in the process of building a much crappier one on Carrd.
Recently launched a Skillshare course (skl.sh/37mP38q) to help people reconnect with their inner creator. Working on Porting it to other platforms (Gumroad, Udemy etc.)
Testing and polishing edge cases on billing system of my https://engine.stormhub.cloud/
Also, in parallel building Support Manager application for https://app.stormhub.cloud/applications
Also, writing blog posts to be ready for launch. I'm always forgetting marketing, even when I'm working on it :D
I'm a tech guy and it's hard for me to sell https://monitup.com :( That's why I took a break from coding and trying to find someone to sell my product...
Your hero text irked me a bit - Why are you selling it as 'employee monitoring software' - no one in the world needs that. You might want to rebrand it as employee productivity insights tool or something.. but 'monitoring employees' creates a very negative perception.
Yes, you are absolutely right about that. The repulsiveness of the application is the thing that bothers me the most. I understand you very well because actually I am a full time employee in a company right now.
This job has a general name and I had to change the name as a result of SEO work and to attract visitors.
MonitUp is an application that increases the productivity of employees and companies, but I do not want to do this by directly showing the user's work. Instead, I want to process the data I collect and present it by interpreting it with the support of Artificial intelligence and Machine learning.
Thus, I can understand the morale and motivation level of the employee and even understand whether there is a general problem.
But in a few sales meetings I had for MonitUp, General Managers and CEOs told me: "No one cares about employee morale and motivation, what is this employee doing at home? We want to see that!"
Hearing such comments, I decided to call it MonitUp, a monitoring program that works until it reaches a level, and then translate it to the point I want.
You can close the application from the task manager, I aim to be a user-friendly application.
I am open to all your suggestions and criticisms, thank you very much for your comment.
Thank you for the response!
Nothing.
Project: unlearning.
This weekend my goal is to add a feature to KeywordSearch.com that will send a daily trend update for users based on their recent searched keywords. For v1 I’ll just take the last query they searched for and help automatically expand on it by also finding related placement videos, channels, and any related trending advertisements.
I am working on adding a couple of more job boards to https://remotefrontendjobs.com
and https://remotebackendjobs.com.
Yesterday I've added https://realremote.io/ (by their request) and I am going to be adding https://theremotejobhunters.pallet.com/jobs next (again by their request).
Let's make it 30 job boards!
Internal improvements + further automation for https://PubliMate.io
Always interested in this subscription based content products. Do you limit the number of posts per time? For instance, unlimited but a user can only ask for a blog post every 48 hours?
Working on excel tables integration on Loopple (https://www.loopple.com/) 🚀
Working on https://uxboard.io/ - an everyday tool for designers, developers, product owners, and all other folks building websites regularly.
Financial modeling tool for startups: https://increnovation.azurewebsites.net/fermi
Got tired of helping startup/project that had limited financial planning. With this tool, hopefully I can help them filter out the bad ones...
This is cool! Are you offering it free?
As of now, that tool is free. I think without pre-filled data or ability to save/load, it's just a temporary tool to replace excel, so that should be free (which pretty much beats all the competitions out there).
If it works, I'll add few value-add features like ability to create account to save/load, some pre-load templates, etc etc.
Do you like it?
Some background, I've been helping startups. Sometimes the clients would come to me with ideas and I'd dive in to help them. However, most of time, they'd end up nowhere. So having a tool like this for them to fill out can assess their business before wasting time and money... Also helps me to kill my personal projects. :)
I've coded a "Bionic Reading converter" which is a very popular speed reading method recently to help people testing their texts online and check if this method works for them. 🧑💻
https://10015.io/tools/bionic-reading-converter
I've been working on NFT Dashboard management for quick flippers, I don't have any coding skill, only learn UI/UX recently to design my product. I've been learning about plasmic, webflow, memberstack, airtable etc to build MVP. Do you have any advice for starter like me?
Or just use tapflow.app
Oh I checked on this web, thanks for helping.
Get a co-founder with coding skills 😉
haha absolutely. Thanks anyway!
Or just use tapflow.app
Just signed up here and starting exploring. Also, My startup product called ROC.PH and provide unlimited graphic design and digital marketing consultation services to businesses and professionals for fixed monthly fee.
I’m building a better and easier way to use Jira without ever having to interact with their UI 😌
I'm testing out a no code to generate landing pages at scale: https://launchman.cc
It looks very nice!
Do I have to make the home page with your tool too? Or can I export your pages to WordPress?
For now, it's the former. You pick a template for your homepage.
Open to other ideas, @thisissukh_ on Twitter.
I am working this weekend (tech support)
I just finished the initial release of an app I started last weekend! About to post about it now!
Doing some content marketing this weekend.
Just posted a new blogpost on How to Scrape Reddit with Page2API 🚀🌔
Helping founders automate their blogs. Saving their time from writing lengthy BLOGs !!
Check out: https://blogbay.co/
@AliMese Good to know you are a fellow writer! I've build a community for writers to both host their writing collaboratively with other members and monetize their own communities. Feel free to have a look.
https://immersive.community/
I built https://obeatow.com. Form abandonment SaaS
The idea sounds very promising! I like it!
Still, I couldn't understand the USP: "A new way to stop form abandonment".
How is Obeatow going to achieve that?
We use a cookieless tracking code system. You embed a tracking code like if you were using https://hotjar.com, https://intercom.com, https://hubspot.com, etc.
I use Hubspot as Intercom is stupid expensive, but you get the point.
Yes, that's how you make the tracking and offer stats, I got that.
My question is, how are you going to stop people abandon forms?
We capture form data that would otherwise be abandoned and eliminate data that is highly sensitive like passwords and credit card numbers. We then send captured data in the form of submissions on a page like this:

Then you can view the form stats here:
I like the idea. But until the visitor doesn't click on the tick to allow you to share and save the data, isn't it illegal to send it to your server and save it?
That's why people still need to implement a cookie consent prompt even though we don't use them. Like its still a marketing script.
I am working on Hyper SaaS, it is a Django Saas boilerplate. It also has a separate React frontend.
Hey Ali, I took your medium blogging/writing course around 2015 and it has helped a lot professionally. I would like to see if you are interested in working together? I'm currently employed as a software engineer but looking for ideas for side income and would love to see if we could possibly work together?
Nice! What's the writing app called?
And I'm working on a password manager that supports web3 wallets (MetaMask, Brave wallet etc...) https://passwordly.com
I wanna start to build a Q&A platform for interview questions. Collect all the questions and problems from technical interviews and leave their answers and solutions.
It's something like "interview questions" part of Glassdoor, but more focused on answers by community.
Building a managed DevOps solution, since past 5 months, I have been building https://www.earlyping.com and over these months, I came across a lot of users who had registered with EarlyPing to monitor their websites, but what I had noticed among a few of them is that, they are not tech savvy users, many of them have no clue what to do when EarlyPing reports an error within their website/web server.
I am a DevOps engineer by heart, when I see my users being clueless about what to do when their websites are down, I go above and beyond to quickly message them on Intercom on how to resolve any ongoing incident (this is not something EarlyPing was supposed to do. EarlyPing is only supposed to monitor and report and communicate any IT incidents.)
Which is why, I have decided to build a managed solution which will not just only monitor IT incidents, but also I along with my team would resolve them (planning on using a lot of automation).
We are building a fast news service for the stock market. We write our news using machine learning instead of writers and we need more beta users. Feel free to check out our page, it's free to register right now. At the moment we have news for the Swedish market but we have US, Canada plus the other Nordic markets ready but have not posted them yet due to the unnecessary cost of posting them before we are launched. We will launch within 2 months.

What do you think?
Working on adding new profile fields to my reverse job board (an ideal role board) and thinking strategy on acquiring users: https://myperfectjob.club/
Also working on pivoting my live music video app (https://tourin.fm/) to more Patreon-like band support: https://tinyurl.com/tourin-prototype

I'm working on my first SaaS project Sharelo https://www.shareloapp.com
It is a video-centered story marketing tool.
Today, I improved oEmbed caching faster and added one integration. Now, working on the video uploading feature:)
Nice landing page, is it on Webflow?
Thanks! I'm using Next.js and Tailwind UI(https://tailwindui.com/). As I see Webflow supports multilanguage. I think I could have used Webflow:)
I got feedback on my upcoming ProductHunt launch video that it is too slow and annoying 🥲
Do you agree?
https://www.producthunt.com/upcoming/29-seconds
This weekend I'm going to fight with DaVinci Resolve to see if he will allow me to make a better one 🤞
Too slow. Check out TikTok :)
agreed, it's moving too slow for me as well, got distracted already 5 seconds in
That settles it then. Thanks Ali!
Working on a newsletter https://www.getrevue.co/profile/comix_app/issues/freshly-pressed-monthly-issue-1-474168 in order to get some buyers on my platform. Preparing to launch my product https://comix.one with this.
love the landing page
thanks a lot @AliMese , appreciate it
I am going to finish up a blog post about some Vue js features and then spend an hour or so marketing my book Beyond coding: leanpub.com/beyond-coding.
If I have some more time, I will try to start and cleanup my backlog of idea and decide what to work up next...
Really like the "you pay" "author earns" pricing structure. What channel has been working for marketing the book?
My books is aimed at a specific audience "people that want to transition into tech"..
So I have been spending time on twitter, where I reply and get in touch with people working on 100 days of code, reaching out to podcast and newsletter owners to see if they are happy to share my book and finally writing blog post that would somehow mention my book...
I am not selling millions of books, but I have been super happy about the steady sales!
If anyone has more input on marketing a book, please share it with me! :)
I'm building https://chromeextensionideas.substack.com/
It's a newsletter where we share pre-validated chrome extension ideas.
Just signed up. How do you manage the "pre-validated" part, though? Do you find pre-validate yourself or find already validated ideas from others?
Thanks for signing up.
We don't start with the idea, we start with the problem being faced by the market and share what people are asking for in the newsletter.
Take a look at our latest issue and you will get the idea.
Also this weekend I am working on the MVP for https://menetrend.xyz
Menetrend is a social media marketing scheduler, similar to Buffer.
Today is the 3rd day I'm working on the Facebook API integration, which is really taking longer than I first thought it would.
In contrast, the frontend was done really quickly. 😄
Did you build the frontend from scratch or use a tool? It's coming together nicely. How do you plan to differentiate from Buffer and others?
For the most part I build the UI from sratch, although I also take some components from older of my projects.
TailwindCSS makes it pretty easy to get quick results without having to deal with the typical issues with CSS.
It also really helps to have your UI at least roughly prepared in Figma. I also like to do it as a diversion between programming.
Since the market in this area is pretty big, my rough plan for now is to just generally target entrepreneurs until I get the standard functions done. Then I will start to find the appropriate niche that I want to address directly, based on which I will then align the future features.
I already have a few ideas, but I haven't committed yet.
I'm sure you have more experience with this. 😉
This weekend will be a busy one. First I really have to implement some long-asked for features for https://loqbooq.app, a platform to log team decisions with Slack integration.
Then, if there is time I should do some small improvements for https://macarons-roulette.app, a chat-roulette for Slack app.
Both gained some early users and I would them to continue to grow. I had some vacation during the week so I can spent a few hours on the weekend 😄
A library of blog templates based on popular posts so you don't have to start with a blank page:
https://drive.google.com/drive/u/3/folders/1zcdcWss_j-Sj6C-CR2IlcEYeO35IiWt0
I dig the collection!
Thanks! Happy to add some templates if you have any requests
I own a Kindle Paperwhite. But I don't read many books, instead I find myself read quite a lot of blog posts, Twitter threads & newsletters.
So I've been building a tool to make it easier to send online content to my Kindle.
https://ktool.io
The best to start writing is when you read any of the content. When reading any topic of taking a pen or pencil and start marking the point which you find those unique. after completion of the topic. Read those Points and your mind starts the creative imagination. This is how you will start your WRITING Journey.
Social presence for my product https://zencal.io
I am trying to build a community of indiehackers which would fundamentally change the world order ;). This weekend I am integrating notion API to make more efficient collaboration possible
In the past 2 months, I've started my first hobby project after a long time (it's been 7+ years), about music. It's a tool to manage/organize music discoveries (things I want to listen, things I listened to, things I liked) and easily share them with friends. Something like Goodreads but for music albums.
https://digs.fm
I have been working on it for the last month but have put it public today. It is a personal finance management tool. You can track your savings and expenses using this tool. It provides clear information about how your assets/expenses are growing or declining. I used to track this for my purpose on a google spreadsheet. I thought it would be worth building an application for it. There are tools already to track but either their focus is budgeting or they cross-sell, spam, and take all the data.
I have made it invite-only for now but interesting people can check it out at https://showmyfin.com
Happy to send the invitation code and get feedback :) Still lot more to do
I'm doing a soft-launch for my new project HoneyTime! Still anxious about the letting people try it, esp when I know it's not perfect. But I gotta stop dragging my feet and just freaking launch
This weekend I'm actually taking a break, to get see some nice mountain scenery nearby (I live in Romania). But just before I go, I pushed some changes for https://devxblog.com and after I come back I'll continue just where I left it off. Some big change that I just integrating was using an already existing WYSIWYG editor (TinyMCE) instead of my clunky wannabe reinvented wheel implementation, and with this I am closing down to the point where I am happy with the state of the MVP.
Next up is focusing a little more on the themes (add more themes, improve the two I already have to make them look more professional and make them mobile responsive).
Then integrating Stripe and it's good to go.
Hey! I am developing an AR platform that "revives" an image or technically plays a video on top of image AR marker.
Instead of doing one-case scenario, I decided to build a platform for creators, so they can use this technology to create awesome projects: like https://www.soundwave.art, or AR photos, business cards, ABC, you name it.
I am going to run it as SaaS.
MVP starts with video only, but later I will add 3D models, animated 3D models, 3D scenes with triggers, buttons with scriptable actions, etc.
An alternative for Zapier:
https://github.com/dotenx/dotenx
This looks awesome! But the https://dotenx.com/ website doesn't seem to work, and the fact that there is no hosted/managed version of dotenx I think it is hurting it. It says it is low/no-code but you need a server (or more) and docker knowledge to use it.
I really thing this can become huge (and maybe be aquired by Zapier? XD) but to get there, the first impression and the user onboarding needs to be more accessible.
Appreciate your feedback.
The landing page will be deployed in a few minutes :) and we're launching for a closed group of users next week and in around 3 weeks we'll launch our cloud hosted version for public usage.
I created a MVP for my idea this week.

Currently creating a community forum that hopes to empower and support indie hackers in South Korea! Treating it as a side project to learn to improve my technical skills.
A calculator to discover how many books you can read in 1 year with a daily habit.
If this is useful to anymore, comment a book 📚 emoji and I'll share the beta!
What is your problem with writing apps, Ali?
Sounds interesting, I’m curious! 📚
We’re playing around with something similar for Hardcover (https://hardcover.app). If you track what books you read w/start and end dates, then we know your reading velocity. We can estimate how long it’ll take you to read any single book, a series, a list of books, or your entire TBR list.
Hey Adam, there you go https://bookscalculator.com/
Would love to hear your thoughts and it, and if you think it's accurate :)
I checked HardCover, it's beautifully designed!
Hopefully finally push out the beta reason of QR contact card app then try to finish building out the first SDK for a web-hook management platform I have been curating.
you should check out hyperwriteai.com to help you with your writing. It's the grammerly of ai writing.
Hey Ali, I came across a pretty handy tool recently (TypeShare.co) which really helps non-writers like myself structure and create content. Personally I find this really useful although I’m still figuring out how to shape my content to fit.
I thought it would be useful to share in case you haven’t come across it yet. Hopefully some food for thought…
Happy to chat if you want some ideas for finding cofounders or even using low code tech to build stuff yourself.
Have a good one!
How are folks finding the results from linkedin?
Working on Webhook for LaunchList. (http://getlaunchlist.com)
Landing page looks great!
I like asking the hard questions :)
Why build this? How does it differ to other solutions?
Hi, thanks.
I'll be working on building a new headquarters for our users on Sidekick. It's going to be a place where people can revisit to boost their focus and motivation and review their long term goals.
It's almost done! Hopefully it'll be good to release on Sunday :)
other than that, going to the waterfall with my fam :)
Love the vibe, Ali. I'm not building anything but will do some personal writing that I somehow never get to do during the week.
Well, I'm still dreaming of the day I'll quit my day job. In the meantime weekends are my playground but have been feeling a little burned out over the last weeks so this weekend is the time for a detox from everything digital for me. Enjoy and good luck building!
Enjoy the weekend!
In terms of going full time I cut my costs massively, paid off all my debt (school) and saved up from a full time job.
Kind of crazy I haven't burnt out in 3+ years working 7 days a week.
