Indie Hacking is so simple, but so hard - Agree?

No doubt it's hard.

If it were easy, everyone would just do it.

Sometimes I feel even releasing a functional MVP is a massive accomplishment (though it might not seem so here, surrounded by a sea of other indie hackers), let alone getting users to pay for it month after month.

You don't have a team, co-founder, or venture funding, yet you're still getting a standalone scalable business off the ground: it's no mean feat.

Entrepreneurship is already hard even with a co-founder or funding, much less without.

You can never compare your own progress to those with co-founders, a team, or funding. Not with a straight face anyway.

You're an elite; you belong to a select group of individuals possessing not only the technical skills and marketing prowess to build a revenue-generating business from the ground up with your two bare hands but also the ambition and perseverance to see it through its toughest times.

I think, as indie hackers, we need to give ourselves more credit than we usually would, and beat ourselves up less over our setbacks or lack of progress.

At the end of the day, yes, you're doing something hard, which is why the reward at the end of the tunnel is so massive and life-changing.

Stay the course, take breaks as you need, refuel from time to time (smell the roses, etc.), don't worry about what happened and only what will happen moving forward, keep your motivation high and that fire in your belly, and good things will most likely happen.

Honestly, I think it all boils down to the hustle every person is willing to do. I faced the same thoughts when I started building app.ruttl.com. Indie Hacking may seem like a great plan but it has a whole lot of hard work and effort involved for getting the success.
