Howdy! My name is Tad Scritchfield. I've been a web engineer for +6 years and my dream is to build my own business.

Here's the thing - I have built many projects over the years but they have only failed because of my mistakes. The main mistake being building, building, building and never telling anyone about what I was building.

Today is the day I'm starting. I will be publishing a weekly newsletter on Monday mornings (US) following me and two of my close friends, Joe and Garrett, as we each build and grow our businesses. I'm taking an approach to writing that I hope will be fun, friendly and down to earth.

Each issue will include the following:

• Topic of the week: What is on our minds, encouragement, reflection, and a call to action for the week ahead.
• Trail Snacks: helpful links to tools and sites that might you help grow your business.
• Field Notes: Our weekly update. This will include status updates on specific ideas we are validating and products we are be building.
• Challenge: Where the rubber meets the road! We'll encourage you to take steps forward on your path to engage with your audience and get out of your comfort zone. These will be things that we will be doing ourselves as well!
• Dream Hikes: Inspiration for you to get outdoors and hike (or at least go outside!). This will include links to trails from mainly the US, but who knows we'll sneak a few global ones in. Let us know where you're from so we can find some close to you!
• Life Line: Are you stuck? Burned out? This section will be a reminder to reach out. I will be available to vent to and I will do what I can to encourage you and help you find the next step.
