The build-in-public movement that I love has an authenticity crisis...
We decided to do something about it and create Indie Valley - a platform where founders share their journey as episodes — real stories with markers on the graph so anyone watching can see what they did and what impact it created. Think Netflix for founder journeys, with verified economics as the spine.
"Real artists ship." — Steve Jobs
So, be a real artist and ship your journey with proof — not just the outcome, but the work, experiments, failures, and impact behind it.
If that sounds like something you want to be part of, or if you're building something and want to be among the first verified projects → indie-valley.com
Would love to hear your thoughts — feel free to comment or reach out.
The verification layer is the interesting part, not the founder stories. I'd keep validating whether builders are joining to document their journey or to earn credibility they can use with customers, investors, and future hires. If the proof becomes more valuable than the content itself, you've created something much harder to replicate than another build-in-public community.
Yeah, you're right. Especially now, with so much AI slop everywhere, we're focusing more on the verification and moderation layer than the stories themselves.
And our moderation isn't about blocking or policing content. It's designed to guide creators, encourage honest updates, improve clarity, and help them publish higher-quality progress reports. The goal is to make authenticity easier, not harder.
If we can consistently surface trustworthy builders and trustworthy stories, that's where the real moat starts to appear.
I'm glad it resonated.
Reading your reply gave me one thought about the difference between verifying progress and creating a reputation system around trustworthy builders. I think that distinction could shape how the platform compounds over time, but I'd rather explain it in the context of what you're building than reduce it to a few comments here.
