Influencer Marketing for a free app

I'm looking for new ways to make mapmelon.com more popular, so I'm starting to reach out to influencers to get them to share my free app. I'm not really sure how to make it interesting for them though, I can't give discounts or free things.

Do you have any tips or templates that you can share?

    Some ideas:

    • Just ask if they like it. If so, ask if they would promote it. Don't offer a direct compensation, but hope for their support. (Very valuable add on: If they don't like it / don't find it valuable ask why. This will bring further validation to your product and new ideas!)
    • Pay them $ for their marketing value
    • Amazon gift cards
    • Provide them with other incentives that they find valuable and can implement into their marketing material (i.e. they plan their trip over your platform, you pay their travel)
