Instagram Shops "Front-Page" + shared cart for multiple shops

Hello everyone! πŸ‘‹πŸ’‘

I'd really appreciate your feedback on this idea.

Along with the pandemic/quarantine, a lot of people found the time <or the need> to start local small businesses, mostly run on Instagram and selling food, desserts, DIY stuff, you know. I've seen a huge surge of these businesses in MΓ©xcico.

This is great news! But I've faced 2 problems while buying from small Instagram businesses:

  1. These shops being extremely local, are good options to buy gifts for friends/family that live in different cities. Not only you help small businesses thrive but you can get your loved ones more "personalized" gifts (local artist painting vs some Chinese product from Amazon.
Problem: Being from city "A", I don't know what local Instagram businesses are in city "B". Solution: There should be a ''Front-page'' to find these stores, like a mix of YellowPages+ProductHunt for these businesses.

  2. These businesses are quite simple, no Shopify, no Stripe, no automation. You just DM the owner, ask for the product, send your address and pay through a deposit or paypal.
Problem: If I want to buy product "a" from seller A, product "b" from seller B, and product "c" from seller C; I'd need to pay each one separately, make three transactions, chat with three people, DM my address three times.
Solution: Some kind of shared order processing /cart for multiple Instagram stores. You pay only once and the payment is split accordingly between sellers.

What do you think?? I'm thinking of starting by just making a list of Instagram stores where you can filter by region and by category, then see if has traffic.
I know less than nothing about coding so it'll be interesting. Thoughts??
