Instructions on how to deploy redash in the cloud in 5 minutes
Have you ever needed to start tracking metrics for a new project or startup quickly? I've been there. And I didn't always have the time or resources to wait for dashboards setup.
So, you can imagine my joy when I found a way to deploy Redash in just five minutes, connect the needed sources, and start monitoring crucial metrics. Now, I love every bit of it and can't help but share this with you all! 😊 Here's how I do it - hopefully, it'll bring you as much joy as it has brought me!
Instructions on how to deploy redash in the cloud in 5 minutes
- Create an account here: https://render.com
- Then open this link: https://render.com/docs/deploy-redash
- Click on the blue button there, then next, next, next
- Wait for it to deploy everything (you need to wait a few minutes)
- Open https://dashboard.render.com/, make sure everything is up and running
- There, go to the redash Web service and enter the command in the shell render-redash create_db
- Wait
- Understand there in the interface where the link to your deployed redash is, go to it
- Set up an admin account for yourself
- Connect a new source in the settings — your DB
- Build a test query with a graph (for example, the number of transactions per day)
If this works for you — there you can collect any queries, dashboards, alerts etc. And update your dashboard with any people who know SQL.
