Hey everyone, we just crossed 1k users based on the Chrome Store analytics, and have had some intermittently good results promoting it with FB ads. Currently we’re just using UTM tags to track conversions in Google Analytics, but I’d love to close the loop and be able to feed the FB Pixel and Google Ads pixel when we go that route with actual conversions to make our targeting more optimized. Have any of you found a good way to drop in either pixel, maybe with Google Tag Manager, to track conversions from our ads?
Might take a look at how Honey Or Grammarly extension is tracking ad conversion. Curious if you are targeting chrome desktop only. How did you build your target audience?
Ooh good idea, and I’ve gone back and forth, with targeting desktop only, nobody installs from mobile even though you technically can hit the install on chrome button from mobile, but I got most of my views on mobile, so being able to track from first view to final click and conversion would be great, but do far undoable.
In the past when I did FB ads for my chrome extension, I targeted chrome on desktop only. Good luck!
