Intercom and it's complicated pricing scheme

can't comment on intercom pricing because I've never paid for it, but I've had great conversations with founders of early-stage products by posting bugs to intercom
when you're small enough to make this work, the 'realtime conversation with your users' experience of intercom is a lightweight way to have rich conversations, and to turn a dissatisfying user first impression (like the surprisingly common 'bug on first load') into a conversation that's positive for the user and valuable for your business
It's a great product, some of these use cases are fantastic
The intercom product was very robust and worked pretty well overall but like many others we had to leave them due to their pricing. If we were utilizing the majority of their features perhaps we could have justified it but were only using it for live chat (no bots) and help docs. We're on HelpScout now and love them.
I get it, I've heard of helpscout, it's a dope tool. I think my last company used zendesk but we were already using the help center tool with them so it was a no brainer
They are 10000% all about profit. Their Node.js SDKs are way out of date, people keep posting for updates on Github, to no response.
I mean, they have maybe 300 engineers and 30k customers with 3-4 very valuable use cases, I don't think that it's a reasonable thing to expect them to keep everything perfect for everyone
