Intercom raised its prices significantly.

One customer went from 16k to 33k a year.

I use https://crisp.chat/en/ works well, mobile app is a little weird sometimes.

Freshchat - https://www.freshworks.com/live-chat-software. I've used this and it was as good as intercom for chatting purposes. I've heard of drift but not used it. Sales folks seems to like it - https://www.drift.com/chat/. There was one more i tried but can't remember now. will update if i recollect.

HubSpot is running a special now.

Again?! I ditched Intercom months ago; clearly not in their target audience. I use Olark now, but I've heard there are even cheaper options if you just want a basic chat functionality.
