Interesting API based businesses

I was recently inspired by @yongfook's pivot to making Bannerbear an API based business.
I've thought this would be the ideal kind of product to work on and have a couple of ideas, but wondered if anyone had any other examples of API products they thought were novel or interesting?
That looks very cool and depending on what you use it for, you can certainly see if there is an audience and hopefully make your money back if you know what to do with it.
I've started getting into developing API for my web apps. I spent the past 6 months developing BunnyAPI.com along with its plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/bunnycdnbunnyapi/ ) for BunnyCDN.com with their permission.
It is an external third-party service that uses BunnyCDN.com. While BunnyCDN did develop an API system, it was bulky and somewhat confusing, so I decided to develop my own and while it still uses their API, it just makes it easier with one-line url commands. With it, you can basically build your own CDN using API commands.
As for the plugin, BunnyCDN lacked some features... so I asked if I could build a new WordPress plugin for them on the condition that I could charge my own pricing, and well... you can read the rest here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/bunnyapi-for-bunnycdn-and-wordpress-659ac92afc
I'm currently working on a plugin for the CDN I built with BunnyAPI, https://bincdn.com.
And as I develop more web apps, I am starting to understand more how combined, both WordPress and API services can get you on your way. Developing a web app takes long enough.. getting your product out there is a whole other series of frustrations, so when it comes to the WordPress plugin respository.. at least you've already got yourself an established audience.
https://www.geocod.io/ comes to mind, although they're not strictly an API.
I think this can be a really good opportunity for Indie Hackers.
