Interview Questions For Conscious Leaders

Job interviews are rarely fun. For either party. The entire process of talent matching, looking for a job, submitting yourself, and on the hiring side filtering through resumes, scheduling interviews is a tedious, repetitive, but necessary task.

Bringing on more people is key to a growing a brand. Making the correct decisions when it comes to building can save you a ton of time and headache. Traditional interview questions, from my memory, suck.

With this being my first year hiring paid interns (MILESTONE!), I'm sharing what questions I ask in my interviews and would love to hear from the community what you think about them, and what other questions I should ask.

  • Tell me about yourself
  • Tell me about a time when you had a problem in your life and how you solved it.
  • What has been the hardest feedback you've ever received and what did you learn from it?
  • Tell me about a time you stood up for something or someone?
  • Tell me about the last time you volunteered?
  • What are your future goals?
  • What are your biggest motivators?
  • How many hours can you commit to this internship?

I then talk about my brand and how the internship works. I explain how tasks are assigned, how "work" happens, and expectations around communication.

Last question is:
Do you have any questions for me?

What do you think about these interview questions? What other questions I should ask?
