Interviewing and recording for youtube channel/podcast?
Hi everyone. I'm looking to start a youtube channel were I interview people remotely. I'm wondering what's the best and cheapest way to do in the beginning so that the audio comes out solid.
I need to interview the guest (20-30 minutes) and than have that recording be uploaded to our youtube channel.

zoom (the free version) could be a good place to start... it's free (up to 40 minutes) and you can record, right?

Thanks. Was thinking of doing zoom to start with but I prefer to have solid video as we think they'll help our channel out.
zoom is working. it's not perfect but few things are right now.
Haha, agreed. I'll try both out and see if squadcast is worth the price.
@jas_hothi when you're interviewing guests. How often do you run into issues with your guest experiencing problems with zoom?

Okay, I feel that. It seems like just audio is always a better route. However we feel like video will be a great component to our channel. So hopefully squadcast.fm can assist with that.

There are a bunch of good Remote Recording products available. The founders of Squadcast.fm are actually pretty active here on IH (cc: @zachmoreno). Their product gives you a 7 day free trial, and after that is pretty affordable for the quality it provides.
