Introducing DocInspector — Batch PDF & Document Tools that Respect Your Privacy

Hey Indie Hackers,

I’m the founder of DocInspector (https://doc-inspector.com).

Every day, millions of professionals (lawyers, accountants, developers) upload sensitive files to free online PDF tools to remove metadata, repair corrupted documents, or add watermarks. What they often don't realize is that these sites store and process files on their cloud servers, creating massive compliance and data leak risks.

I built DocInspector to solve this problem by offering two secure processing pipelines:

1. Online Web Tools: Fast batch processing on our secure, GDPR-compliant VPS. Your files are processed and automatically deleted immediately after download.

2. Windows Desktop App: For organizations with zero-cloud upload policies, everything runs 100% locally on your computer with no internet required.

What you can do in batch:

- Clean EXIF, GPS, and author metadata from PDFs, DOCX, XLSX, and images.

- Rebuild and repair corrupted PDF structures.

- Flatten PDF layers, interactive form fields, and annotations.

- Bulk watermark and password protect documents.
