At present, our platform "just" offers a more cost-effective solution for hosting containers compared to FlyIo or Koyeb. This initial strategy is intended to gather feedback and attract early adopters as we prepare to expand our feature set (which cost money and time).
Our upcoming features will set us apart from these platforms, including serverless databases, queues, and background job processing (workers). This addresses a significant gap among established providers. When launching a startup, you often require more than just a web app with PostgreSQL (based on my experience working for 4 different startups as a Software Engineer). For an efficient, reliable, and scalable solution, startups typically need a scalable, cost-effective database that fits their needs and robust background operations (workers) that communicate with the app via a queue.
Our medium-term objective is to enable these operations (serverless databases, queues, and workers) in a cost-efficient, scalable, and automated manner—something not currently offered by any cloud provider, including FlyIo, Koyeb, Heroku, AWS, and GCP.
