Introducing Observare — bundled ops monitoring for solo devs and small agencies

I've spent years self-hosting, managing servers, and juggling a handful of monitoring tools just to keep things running. Uptime checks in one place, SSL expiry reminders in another, cron job heartbeats somewhere else — each with its own login, its own dashboard, its own bill.

So I decided to build what I actually wanted: one platform that handles all of it.

Observare bundles uptime monitoring, SSL certificate checks, cron heartbeat monitoring, port monitoring, process monitoring, Docker container monitoring, IP address monitoring, Stripe webhook logging, and public status pages into a single dashboard — built specifically for solo developers, freelancers, and small agencies who don't need enterprise complexity.

Where I'm at:

• Marketing site is live at observare.co.uk

• Auth, billing, and dashboard are built

• Uptime monitoring is the first feature shipped — checks, alerts, incident history, flapping detection

• SSL certificate monitoring is next

Tech stack: Node.js, TypeScript, Fastify, SQLite, React 19, Vite, Tailwind.

Bootstrapped and self-hosted.

I'm building this in public and would love feedback from anyone who's been in the same boat — managing multiple tools when all you really need is one simple dashboard you can set and forget.
