Hey Indie hackers 👋
I built PixelTools because I was tired of juggling a dozen sketchy sites for simple image tasks. One to compress, another to convert HEIC, another that slaps a watermark on your export or makes you create an account.
PixelTools puts 10 tools in one place, and the key part: everything runs locally in your browser (Canvas API + WebAssembly for things like HEIC decoding). Your images never get uploaded to a server. It's free, no account, no per-file limits, and works on mobile too.
Tools so far: Convert · Compress · Remove Background (AI) · Resize (with social presets) · Crop · Rotate · Image to PDF · Upscale (AI 2×/4×) · Watermark · Screenshot Beautifier.
Would love your feedback, especially which tool/format you'd want next. Thanks for checking it out! 🙏
The local-first approach is what stood out to me. Convenience gets people to try a tool, but knowing their images never leave the browser is the kind of trust signal that can keep them coming back.
