ResQ is now live! It's an incident management tool that helps software engineering teams run their incidents through Slack. It's focus is on making it as easy as possible for engineers to start/update/resolve their incidents with just one command, /resq.
Currently, I've added some data reporting, but it's not near where I want it to be. My next development goal is to add more data especially related to MTTR, and an API where customers can obtain all their data for any of their integration or custom reporting needs.
I also don't have any beta users yet, and quite frankly I'm not sure how to start getting one. Ideal users are tech companies that have been thinking about ways to manage and analyze incidents .
I appreciate any feedback or help.
How is this different to DataDog?
It’s completely different. Datadog is an APM and resource monitoring tool. It allows engineers to monitor various computing resources.
ResQ is focused on the human process of incident management. Many engineering teams struggle to implement incident management processes. What to do when a server is down and impacting customers? How do you keep stakeholders informed of the current incident? How do you learn from previous incidents to prevent it from reoccurring? Those questions are what ResQ solves.
I like it - I can see this as being a great IM tool for medium size IT companies.. As for acquiring users, @IndieJames has a great launch guide here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/relaunch-like-a-pro-100-places-to-launch-relaunch-and-list-your-product-7c67875635
