🤔 Why I Built Shorts Generator
I felt the pain: Editing videos takes ages, and I just wanted to speed things up.
No expertise needed: I wanted anyone (yes, even my grandma) to create awesome videos without needing a tutorial.
Fun factor: I love playing around with creative ideas, and I wanted a tool that could keep up with my imagination.
🚀 What's it like? Imagine jotting down a video idea over coffee and having a ready-to-share video by the time you're done. That's Shorts Generator for you. It's like having a mini-director in your pocket that gets your vibe.
Essentially, what Shorts Generator does is streamline the following steps:
- Generate a script for your idea.
- Create an audio (AI voiceover) based on that script.
- Generate scenes based on the story.
- Stitch everything together with cool captions and transitions to make a video.

This is indeed a very nice tool but the price is high imo.
I can only justify the cost if I see that the product is good and it does what I want but I have to pay to even test that.
How much is your cost for creating a video? Can you afford to offer 5-10 videos for free?Put a watermark on them, suggest ideas for prompts so that people can get better videos (and upgrade to a paid plan faster instead of using all 10 free videos).
I would even go a step further and add a feature on the paid plans that "automatically uploads/posts video on insta/tiktok/yt" or "saves to gdrive" - something that makes people feel that they got ownership of the video or saves them time.
OKAY - I updated this so free users can play around with the tool and generate a video without needing to subscribe!

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah the price is not trivial to generate the video which is why I don't have any freebies but you're right this hurts conversion as most people want to try it.
I do have a Showcase page so people get a sense of the results but trying out is ideal. Will look into it.
Social Media upload is interesting but very annoying because you have to get approved.
