I'm George — building Teclazo, keyword & market research for Mercado Libre sellers
I've spent years running MerchantWords, a keyword tool for Amazon sellers. Teclazo is that same idea pointed at a market the English-speaking startup world barely talks about: Mercado Libre — Latin America's Amazon. ~$29B in revenue, ~1M sellers, 18 countries, and Portuguese + Spanish everywhere.
What pulled me in: there's basically one competitor down there (Nubimetrics), it's sales-team-only with opaque pricing, and a seller in México or Brasil can't just sign up and get answers. So I built the self-serve version — real search-volume data, competitor intel, and "what should I actually sell" insights across all 18 markets. Spanish-first, since I speak it.
It's early. I'm onboarding the first users and keeping it free while I learn what genuinely helps sellers. The thing I'm chewing on most right now: LATAM sellers don't hunt for "keyword tools" the way Amazon sellers do — they search for their problems ("qué vender", "cuánto cobra Mercado Libre"). So half my brain is on how they even discover a tool like this.
Would love to connect with anyone who's built for LATAM, sold self-serve into SMB sellers, or gone up against a sales-led incumbent. And if you sell online in Spanish or Portuguese — I'd love your honest feedback.
Glad to be here
