**Want to say a quick shout out to @8bit aka John Saddington.
I found the IndieHackers community through him and just wanted to recap a couple lessons I've learned that have been invaluable with the Yen.Camp
Lessons:
// You can actually find people to trust, be vulnerable with, and grow within an online community.
//I've NEVER had someone tell me that being thoughtful and kind was a competitive edge. That's been a game changer for me in my confident, my approach to my personal life/professional career.
//Personal coaching sessions from John was like going diving. You kind of dreaded it as the week went on. You had to get prepared. But then when you are actually in it (coaching session/ocean), you are just like, man it doesn't get better than this. I'm so glad I did this. Sorry to all those people that don't like the ocean. Maybe not a good analogy.
//I found lots of awesome people in the Yen community (I wish I could tag them all but for some reason, I can't tag people right now in this post dunno) that gave me awesome feedback about the project my friend Danny and I are working on. Learned lots of biz building skills, how to think about customers/customer interviews, and how to keep things simple.
At the end of the day, I gained a really good friend with Yen.Camp. Thanks John and the Yeniverse for all the love.
