Last week I shared about shipping the Instacart integration. Since then the main focus was getting iOS across the line and it's live now.
The original plan was to follow the Netflix model with no in-app purchase buttons, just a prompt to subscribe at useladle.com. It's a legitimate compliance path and I had it working. But I kept coming back to the purchase experience feeling clunky for iOS users. So I went back and did a full StoreKit integration instead. Took longer, but the in-app purchase flow is genuinely better for it.
Getting through App Store review as a solo bootstrapped founder, while working a full-time job, is one of those things that feels small to say out loud but took a real amount of persistence and late nights. Very proud of the progress on that front.
The product is essentially feature-complete at this point. Which means the work shifts entirely to growth and awareness, and that's where it gets interesting for me.
My background is B2B enterprise sales. I know how to build pipeline, run a process, close deals. B2C is a completely different muscle. No outbound, no discovery calls, no champions. Just: does the product find the right people or not. SEO is starting to show some early signs and the early work on social channels is now feeling less like starting from a blank slate.
I'll have to do a full post about that strategy to get input from others with B2C marketing experience.
