Is 12 sign-ups in a week a good number for a SaaS product, pre-beta-launch?

We have been getting feedback and ideas from different communities, and we got 12 sign-ups in the process. We haven’t launched Beta yet. While we are excited to see these numbers, are there any tips/advice from your experience? Any tips on how to go about getting beta users in the beginning?

This tool btw, helps create content that ranks, at scale, and also helps manage them at scale.

@contentknight all you need is one user that you're able to solve a problem for. All it takes is one to validate your idea. For the 12 that have signed up, gather feedback because these may very well be your first beta testers. Solve their problems and you have the beginning of a product that adds value. Good luck!

Awesome! Appreciate that. It makes a lot of sense :)

Came here to say pretty much the same thing: focus in on what you have and don't compare the number with others. There will always be people who have done worse and better at the beginning, it doesn't mean you can't make it work.

Quality over quantity. Find users that are having the problem that you can solve, and these are the users that will be with you for the long run.

Can I ask what are the things you're doing to get the word out? I curates a directory of marketing strategies at www.growthunt.com and one of the new categories I'm curating is for pre-launch strategies.

    Love to hear yours!

      Thank you much for that.

About how we are getting the word out, we are just getting feedback from communities that could possibly be users of our product, on things like the product itself, pricing, etc.. And also on general stuff like the launch strategies etc, on some of the regular SaaS communities. Product Hunt Ship is another from where we have a few registrations already, but cannot justify the cost in my limited experience with it.

We are exploring other options. Hoping to find some good stuff on your website as well :)
