Is 50 pre-launch sign-ups in 2 days a good number?
We got 50 sign-ups in two days, by putting up posts on Reddit, Facebook and Indie Hackers. We just launched the beta version of the tool yesterday and we have 10 actual sign-ups. Does this sound like a good number?
Looking forward to having some active users. Appreciate tips from anyone who has done this before!
This is for a tool that we launched recently. It is more or less Good docs on steroids. It allows you to type text, format it, insert images, insert pdfs, embed videos, and record your screen live. All this while you are collaborating with others. You can also leave and receive audio notes. Possible use cases - It can be used for quick demos, presentations, as a whiteboard for zoom calls/brainstorming sessions etc.

I have checked out your site. It is definitely more useful than Google Docs or Evernote. But I am reluctant to use your service because I am not sure if your site will be around long enough. Then what would happen to my files?
Your files will always be there. And we don't intend on shutting down. We are getting good responses so far. Launching on PH tomorrow. We can stay in touch over phone, e-mail or whatever else, if that helps!

I like your tactic of discussions on facts and feedback (from previous post) instead of straight promotion - is that how you went around not getting your indirect promotions deleted?
Yeah, facts and feedback are kind of the way to go. Some of the sub-reddits allow self promotion. In those, I ask for feedback and I put a direct link out there.
The others that don't allow that, I give facts saying this is what happened etc and I also give a description of the product.
We'll be following your journey since we're similarly looking for beta users and will also be checking out subreddits!
