Is a waitlist enough?

I have an MVP, but I have to do some manual steps in order to onboard people. I can spend a few weeks on building the onboarding process -- but I am wondering if a waitlist is enough in order to launch a product, even without pricing.

What do you think?

Yes. Especially if your waitlist form can clearly communicate the value user will get when signing up.

      Can you give an example?

Yeah. Typically Waitlist modules on sites have some copy, icons, infographics communicating different values to users (I'm making examples up):

        • (Expected product features)Join waitlist and get access to 1000 of Ai tools we'll publish.
        • (Social validation) Join waitlist. 23,421 other users already joined.
        • (Fomo) Join waitlist to be in the first group of customers.
