Hello fellow indiehackers, could you provide some advice to a poorly slept developer trying to make a general purpose food ordering API?
Besides Domino's API, which only works for pizza, I haven't been able to find any general purpose Food Ordering API's that would be able to provide automation for food subscription business, which I think can be profitable little niches.
Right now, I have been able to do some crappy Puppeteer + Cheerio nodejs solution for ordering via Ubereats that is far from good enough for production. I've been stuck on this for a good part of this weekend and would like to ask here if anyone has been on this quest before.
It's clear that automating it with the tools I have is hard, and I would forever be maintaining it to keep up with changes in the Ubereats UI. But I really believe in this idea and will follow through if no other options are available.
So what do you think... are there any APIs I'm missing? Is there some channel more reliable then Ubereats to try? Is this idea just doomed altogether because food marketplaces don't like it? Please, let me know what you think, I'm really invested in the idea of automated ordering.
Maybe this is just hard, what actually makes more feel it's somewhat valuable.
