Is everyone using Baremetrics?
I just found out about Baremetrics and it looks like such an amazing tool. Is SaaS business using Baremetrics? It's a little expensive, especially for companies that as still prerevenue. Does Stripe happen to give any of these metrics or no?

Are we right to conclude that Stripe is "wrong" and Baremetrics is "right"?
Two systems not matching is a really common case among a wide variety of data systems. For example, there was another thread on IH yesterday complaining that numbers from two analytics systems didn't match.
That Twitter thread seems to suggest that each app has a different set of assumptions/definitions in their MRR calculations. Additionally, each app seems to contain those rules inside black boxes and the only way to understand them is to try to logic out the rules while working on small dollars.
I like what Baremetrics does but to call Stripe "inaccurate" from that POV strikes me as indeed biased.
The difference with how Stripe calculated it was in fact an edge case where Stripe was wrong while Baremetrics correctly handled that situation.

Sounds very interesting. I looked at your product a few months ago and was disappointed there was no “startup” like plan. How can we get access to the “secret” plan?

Heard lots of good things about Baremetrics, but at our SaaS, we currently use ProfitWell, which works really well for us. Lots of good reporting, and their plugin helps keep track of Engagement of users so we can better predict churn.
If you use Stripe you can get essentially the same dashboard metrics, dunning emails, and even the card update emails. Wasn't always be the case but Stripe shipped a lot of features.

I love what Baremetrics does and their design. They make things a lot easier. If I had my own company that used Stripe, I would look into Baremetrics.
My company does similar reporting off databases and CRMs + other data sources for more established companies but I have always respected the great product Baremetrics creates.
