Is “generic AI voice” becoming the next SEO problem?

I’m noticing a pattern.

You can almost tell when something was written by AI—not because it’s bad, but because it has the same rhythm, the same phrases, and the same polished-but-generic tone.

As creators, marketers, and founders, we spend time trying to stand out. Then we use AI and accidentally end up sounding like everyone else.

That got me thinking:

What if AI learned your voice instead of replacing it?

So I’ve been building Tonelocked—a tool that analyzes your writing style and generates a reusable voice prompt you can use with ChatGPT or Claude to produce content that sounds more like you.

The demo is free:

I’m not looking for signups as much as honest feedback.

A few questions:

  • Can you usually tell when content was written by AI?

  • Have you found a reliable way to make AI consistently sound like you?

  • If you tried Tonelocked, what would make it genuinely valuable enough that you’d use it every week?

I’d love your honest thoughts—even if they’re critical. That’s how good products get built.voice., fonts, app icon, etc.)
