Is it a bird.. Is it a plane? It's (suppose to be) a landing page!

Hi Everyone,

One hour ago we went live with https://featherfeed.me/

Still no visitors! Am I too impatient πŸ˜‰? I would love your feedback!

Do you understand the value proposition? Is the messaging clear? How can I improve conversion?

Thanks a lot!!!

    Hi Eveline,

thanks for posting. The landing page looks cheerful and attracts me positively!

The site looks complete, with privacy policy, about, contact, and cookie statement.

The layout of the testimonials section could be improved. It looks as if it is not aligned with the hero section. It is aligned with what comes after it but when reading from top to bottom, I did not see this in time.

The value proposition is totally clear to me. FeatherFeed learns what I like to read and will recommend other interesting content to me.

However, I'd like to see an example screenshot that explains how that value prop becomes true. Something like

    1. add your favorite sources
    2. see what you added
    3. this is how a recommendation from FeatherFeed looks like

I am missing an idea about the pricing. Is it $1, $5, $20, $100?

When I read that FeatherFeed learns something from my reading behaviour, a little fearful voice raises in my head that says: "Oops, will this thing be spying on me?". The how-it-works page explains clearly that this is not the case, but at least I wanted to make you aware of that voice.

When I start the Typeform to sign up, it asks me 8 questions. I don't understand question number 8. It says "..." and the choices available are "I accept" or "I do not accept". What's that question about?

So that's my feedback for today. Good luck with the product.

      Hi Matthias,

Thank you for taking the time to go through the landing page and providing this elaborate feedback!

I got more feedback on the testimonial section, so I will indeed improve that part. Glad you find the proposition clear, as I was struggling to find the right wording without becoming too technical, but simultaneously show more technical people what the uniqueness is. That said, I see how the "FeatherFeed learns from behavior" can be scary, so I need to work on that and reword it such that it's clear all data stays with end-user.

Today I will work on the screenshots you mentioned, a great idea to show it in the 1, 2, 3 approach. Also, I will add the business model as an FAQ, that might help to clarify what the intent is to move from hobby to business ;-).

Typeform q 8.. ooops! I removed that right away!

Again thank you a lot! I will checkout trainersjoy.com - let me know if I can return the favor and happy to do so!

        Hi Eveline,

        wow, you're fast! That's good!

Yes, it would be great if you could review my landing page for trainersjoy.com, too. I am always happy to learn.

        Best...
        Matthias

Sure :). Will do and follow-up on that Matthias!

          1. 1

            Hi @Mattes3,

            as promised :).

I like the orange flowing lines at the top and bottom.

The explainer video is also very well done, however, an impatient person like me wouldn't watch it till the end (its > 5 min) unless I'm really really interested in your product. So I would suggest to put the video somewhere else in the page, once I'm more at the stage to convert to become a customer. I would then suggest to put a smaller video (max 30 sec/45 sec) at the top.

The explanation of the problem below looked to me like a roadmap at first glance. Isn't a horizontal outline maybe better? I might be that I am biased because I've used a similar design as a roadmap. You might want to check it with a few others.

I would use a slightly bigger font size overall for the body texts and us only the orange on really important words only as now you use it much and thus it underminds the real important stuff! (I actually thought at first those were all hyperlinks).

The 'how it works' page is clear to me, as far as I'm concerned why not keep the header orange?

Lastly, I would love to know who you are, and what your background is, so maybe you can link to your linkedin or ad an 'about me' page.

            Hope this helps!

            Best,
            Eveline

(I spotted you even made a vlog about it, cool!).

            1. 1

              Hi @Eveline

thanks for your valuable feedback, I'll soon start to work on it!

About the header color: The idea is to change the header color on the subsequent pages. One is "how it works". There will be more: "pricing" will probably be dark-red, "help" will probably be green. The footers will always be orange.

              Does that make sense?

              Good luck with your product...
              Matthias

Hi @Mattes3, I see. Yes, that makes sense! Thank you and you too!

Hey I made a video review of your product's landing page, I uploaded on YouTube I hope you find it useful (read the video description for the exact timestamp!)

    1. 1

Wow, awesome! Your feedback is really useful and will definitely adjust accordingly. Thank you so much for spending the time recording your valuable feedback, I appreciate it a lot πŸ™!

      1. 2

You're welcome, I think you can totally fix a few simple things on the landing page and it will boost the appearance to the eyes of your audience!

        1. 1

Absolutely, I already started to change things, more to come πŸ’ͺ!

Your subject line got me, big superman fan here so had to check it out. πŸ˜ƒ

Your tagline definitely explained what the product is to me. One improvement I would make is adding some visual representation of your product along with the tagline. Lots of empty space up there that is just a bigwall of text that can put off a visitor.

Good concept and like the name too. Congrats on the go live. πŸ‘

    1. 1

😁 here another fan! I hope the product didn't disappoint you though as the title is rather deceiving, haha!

I understand what you say. Really struggling with the that space, but more visual representation could work. Will play with it a bit more! Thank you so much for your feedback and for taking the time to look into it!

      1. 2

No problem. Let me know when you make some changes and will be happy to check it out πŸ‘πŸ½

        1. 1

Thank you, I certainly will. Need to think it a bit more through!

          1. 1

Hi @gushiguera, I've adjusted the hero image https://featherfeed.me/ > It's not there yet though, but hopefully already an improvement.

            1. 1

I like the use of the space there with the image. Not sure what is going on though but as soon as I get to your homepage I am being redirected to a 404 oooops page

              1. 1

Ugh.. sorry! Something went wrong over the weekend 😳. Should be up and running now.

                1. 2

                  πŸ‘πŸ½ it happens

                  1. 1

                    thx! πŸ˜…

Redpack Rastreo is now easier with (Sitename). Each and every step is mentioned about how you can do the shipment tracking. If you cannot find the tracking number, then here’s an example: 27857821. Find this type of number in your shipment details and enter that number above to get the Redpack shipment status right away.

    1. I coudn't login with google because "You need to enable third party cookies"
    2. Login in with link sent to email every time is annoying
    3. Extension button is not clickable. I don't know how to activate FeaterFeed...

    p.s. Latest Chromium on linux

      1. 1

ugh... Thank you. We're working on a fix as we speak to allow the extension tp work without the need for third party cookies. For now to test you need to enable third party cookies or whitelist katalysis.io. I can let you know when the fix is implemented?!

The website looks great! @Eveline - curious: How'd you ensure the content quality?

And when will be the launch?

I've been running a side project not long ago, keen to hear your feedback tho!

    1. 1

Hi @felix12777, thanks a lot, super kind! Feel free however to give comments on what I can improve ☺️.

It's a very fair question your asking as 'quality' means something different to anyone and it's also not a quantitative measurement per see. The way we can measure though is by giving every user the opportunity to press like or dislike in such a way we understand how well the algo's are working for individuals. Also, the intend is to allow users to add their own feeds which they deem to be of quality. That said, I'm wondering if I should remove the word "quality" altogether. What do you think?

Right now I'm entering private beta testing. I want to see how the responses of everyone are before launching. I really want to nail it for a smaller group of people first. Depending on how the feebback will be the public beta will be planend.

I just checked your side project - nice! First point of feedback would be that the dropping bottles made me a bit nervous πŸ˜†. I really like the schedule you've made as I feel sometimes there is a lot but I miss out on it. Also, will you allow makers to upload their own projects as well? Would be interested to have FeatherFeed featured there too 😊.
